Boston's Tree Lighting Ceremony - VIP Treatment!

On December 1st, Boston is holding its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony (70th to be precise) in the Boston Common and it's guaranteed to be a good time.  The tree, the lights, the fireworks, it's absolutely the best way to kick off the holiday season.  As an added bonus to the grand celebration, The Skating Club of Boston will present a spectacular skating show at the Boston Common Frog Pond featuring an exciting assortment of local skating stars showing off on the ice in all different levels of experience. 

The skating show starts at 5:30pm and the tree lighting ceremony will go from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Fun fact:  Nova Scotia donates a tree to Boston every Christmas as thanks for the doctors and supplies the city sent after an explosion killed almost 2,000 in Halifax in 1917.
