Accent Limousine Checks Out The Top 10 Museums in Boston

Boston has some really wonderful museums that you absolutely must check out when you're visiting the city.  Each one has something different to offer and each one will provide you with an afternoon of knowledge and entertainment.

Out of all of the places to visit, my top 10 museums in the city are as follows:

  1. The Museum of Science
The museum always has a series of new and interesting exhibits and houses one of the largest IMAX screens for you to get up close and personal with amazing subjects.
  2. The Children's Museum
This museum teaches children to understand and enjoy the world in which they live in a variety of ways.  It was my favorite place in the world when I was little!
  3. Museum of Fine Arts
The MFA houses amazing temporary exhibits like Monet and Lichtenstein (showing now through 9/25/11), but the permanent collection is something Boston is more than proud to have.
  4. The New England Aquarium
As you can see here, I adore this place.  Spending an afternoon with aquatic life is cool and calming at the same time.
  5. The John F. Kennedy Museum and Library
Though not in Boston Proper, the T ride out to this museum is worth the trip to experience the homage to JFK.
  6. Old State House Museum
Seeing so much of Boston's history in one place will help you appreciate exactly what it took to make this city the place it is today.
  7. Franklin Park Zoo
Though not a brick museum, our zoo is a wonderful part of Boston.  Read on here for my hot tips on the zoo!
  8. Museum of African American History
This museum is dedicated to preserving, conserving and accurately interpreting the contributions of African Americans in New England from the colonial period through the 19th century.  Through the end of the year they are displaying Treasures from the Collections of the Museum of African American History featuring over 3,500 items from their collection.
  9. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
This 110 year old museum is an amazing private collection of works from the late Isabella Stewart Gardner.  For more info, check her out on Wikipedia.
  10. Boston Fire Museum
Being that my husband is a firefighter, this museum is especially interesting to me.  It preserves and displays fire fighting memorabilia from the Greater Boston area and is there to educate and inform the general public on fire safety.  Definitely cool.

Honestly, those 10 are just the tip of the iceberg for all there is to see and do in Boston.  But, they're definitely my top picks.

When you're coming into the city to check out these awesome museums, make sure to call Accent Limousine Service for a ride into Boston.  You won't have to deal with trying to park in the city or remembering to feed a meter, Accent will bring you here in style and take any worries away.  Whether you're coming into the city to check out a museum for the day or coming in town for a big night out, Accent Limousine is your vip limo service and will take care of all of your transportation needs.
