A Guide to The Boston Hatch Shell in the Summer - Accent Limousine Service Style

Now that summer is so close to being official, it's time to get out there and play! One of my favorite outside areas in Boston is the Hatch Shell on/near Storrow Drive (adjacent to the Charles River Esplanade).
Everyone knows the Hatch Shell for being the place where the Boston Pops annually perform an amazing Fourth of July concert, but what you might not have known is that all summer long the city of Boston hosts an array of free and fun activities at the Hatch Shell.
Take "Free Friday Flicks" for example. All you need to do it grab a picnic basket and a blanket and head to the Hatch Shell a little before sundown to grab a spot, sit under the stars, and watch a cool movie.
Here's the full summer movie line-up:
June 17th: Daddy Day Care
July 15th: MEGAMIND
July 22nd: Despicable Me
July 29th: How To Train Your Dragon
August 5th: Tangled
August 12th: Toy Story 3
August 19th: Rango
August 26th: Iron Man 2
I know my husband and I will definitely head down there to see a few movies this summer... Toy Story 3 is my particular favorite, but How To Train Your Dragon is not too far behind. Plus, who doesn't love a free date night or free family fun night?
Then there's the 103.3 WODS "Free Summer Concert Series" that happens once a month during the summer. It's held on Saturday's and begins at 7pm.
Check out this line-up:
June 18th: The Pointer Sisters
July 23rd: Eddie Money
August 20th: KC and the Sunshine Band
Imagine yourself shakin' it under the stars to "That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Get Down Tonight", "Give It Up", and "Please Don't Go". Okay, I guess you can tell which concert I'm excited to see. Seriously though, that's just cool.
Then there's the Boston Landmarks Orchestra who will be playing every Wednesday at 7pm. There will be Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and symphonies that will knock your head off.
Check out this link for the full schedule and description of each Boston Landmarks Orchestra concert.
And finally, you can always just head on down to the Hatch Shell on a beautiful day with a frisbee and a picnic basket and soak up the sun. There's no need for an event schedule to dictate your fun!
Instead of dealing with parking in Boston to get to the Hatch Shell, call Accent Limousine for a hassle-free day or night of fun in the city. They'll take care of all your needs from boston wedding limousines to a limo trip to Foxwoods to a fancy night out in the city whether or not it's Providence, Boston, Hartford, or New York. All you have to do is decide where to go and Accent Limousine will take you there in style!
How are you going to take advantage of the Hatch Shell this summer?
