Accent Limousine Restaurant Review: The Gallows in the South End

Today I'm going to give you a little restaurant review on an amazing little place called "The Gallows" in the South End. It's located at 1395 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118 (for your GPS). If you're looking for a cool new restaurant to check out, I highly recommend this place.
My husband and I finally went to The Gallows this past Saturday night after wanting to try it for what seemed like an eternity. As we sat they told us that night was their one year anniversary. So fine, it had only been one year, but it was one year too long that we hadn't found out how amazing this place is.
Since we're old and married and dinner reservations keep moving towards the 6pm mark (seriously, when did we turn into eating with the early birds?), we were early enough to get a nice corner booth seat in the back by ourselves. The waitress was really sweet and kept our food coming, plates cleared, and drinks filled.
We ordered the Soft Shell Crab appetizer on a whim because neither my husband or I had ever tried one. If all soft shell crab tastes as good as The Gallows soft shell crab, it might be my new favorite seafood. If you haven't tried it - give it a try! It's not scary at all! Look, he's cute!

We then split a Scotch Egg (which is an egg wrapped in pork sausage and deep fried) and it was heavy and heavenly in the best sort of way. It's something you must try at least once in your life.

We also split the taco of the day which was a beautiful BBQ Pulled Lamb taco that was absolutely delicious.
For dinner I ordered the Caesar salad and it was unbelievably fresh. Honestly, I don't know where they get their avocado's from, they were perfectly ripe and melted with each bite. The house made dressing was also stellar and even though I didn't end my meal with a heart stopper (like the burger with the fried egg on top), I more than enjoyed every bite of the refreshing salad.
My husband got the winner of the night. The Whistle Burger. A juicy burger with a friend green tomato, avocado, and pickled corn on a gorgeous bun. We laughed that it tasted like the state of California - or at least L.A. - where all the earthy taste buds live. Next time we're there we're also ordering a side of fried green tomatoes - so good. Though his favorite burger is the Sel De La Terre burger, this burger is #1 in it's own class. I really wish I had taken a picture of this burger... it was gorgeous.
By the end of the our very reasonably priced meal, we were full and turned down dessert. Moments later a manager came over to our table with two adorable little soft serve ice cream cones and he said they were for us for "being good". How cute is that?
All in all the place is perfect. The vibe, the decor, the food, the people, it's just a perfect place to go and eat some awesome innovative food. They have a selection of poutine (fries covered in gravy and cheese curds), cheese boards, five rotating burgers, main courses that will knock your socks off, and they serve $3 PBRs. It doesn't get much better for a mid-priced restaurant in Boston.
Instead of dealing with parking in Boston to get to The Gallows, call Accent Limousine for a hassle-free day or night of fun in the city. You can leave here full, a little drunk, and very happy and it won't matter once you have one of Accent's drivers on the case! They'll take care of all your needs from boston wedding limousines to a limo trip to Foxwoods to a fancy night out in the city whether or not it's Providence, Boston, Hartford, or New York. All you have to do is decide where to go and Accent Limousine will take you there in style!
Be sure to tell me how you like it!!
