Since 1985, our family has owned and operated Accent Limousine Service, Inc. in Milford, Mass. Many staff members have been with us for years and have become an extension of our family.
The Early Years
Our founders, Rick and Susan Nashawaty, married in 1976 and together started Accent based out of their hometown of Milford, where they lived in the historic "Mcquen" house and were raising three children: Rick II, Bob, and Julie. Just a few months before they started Accent, they'd opened Three Bears Daycare, which they operated out of their home until 1995.
Why a limousine company? Rick notes that the drunk driving laws were getting really tough in the mid 80s and that there weren't any real services to help people enjoy a safe night out. Always a car enthusiast, Rick made up his mind, flew out to Detroit, bought a used limousine, had it shipped back home (that's a picture of it below), and started the company right before the Milford prom season. And he built from there, adding to the fleet, limo by limo.
Family Business, Family Values
All the values that strong-knit families promote -- integrity, honesty, love -- were the values Rick and Susan infused in their business...both their "professional" one as the owners of Accent and the daycare center, but also in their personal business as parents.Their mantra is a simple, but powerful one: treat others as you wish to be treated. In fact, treat them even better!
Where We Are Today
Accent continues to provide personalized limo services to clients in the
MetroWest region, Greater Boston area, and across New England. We grow our client base every year because we use only the finest custom crafted
Lincoln Limousines and Town Cars, and we care for our clients as only a family business can.
Today, the family part of the business has grown to include Rick and Susan's sons and their “family” staff, both office members and chauffeurs. And, of course, the mission continues: treat everyone as you wish to be treated, or even better.
Over the years we've have transported many celebrities, such as Liza Minnelli, Lenny Kravitz, Harry Conick Jr., Yo Yo Ma, Celine Dion, Jackie Kennedy, and John Kennedy Jr., just to name a few. Many of Boston's greatest athletes, such as Adam Vinatieri, Deion Branch, Ty Law, Damien Woody, Trot Nixon, Johnny Damon, Nomar Garciaparra, and Mo Vaughn, have also trusted Accent when hiring a limousine service.
